Information we collect
When you use the Channel Standard platform, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, company information, account and contact records you import or create, deal and opportunity data, and communications within the platform. We may also collect usage data, such as login timestamps, feature interactions, and session information, to improve platform performance.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to deliver and improve the Channel Standard platform experience. Specifically, your account data is used to power your personalized dashboard, reporting, supplier matching, and AI Companion features. We do not sell, rent, or license your personally identifiable data to any third party.
AI and platform learning
We may use your interactions with the platform, including inputs, outputs, and usage patterns, to improve and personalize the Channel Standard experience, including training and enhancing our AI-powered features. Your individual data used for this purpose is never shared with, disclosed to, or made accessible to other advisors, suppliers, TSDs (technology services distributors), or any third party.
Anonymized and aggregate insights
We may generate anonymized, aggregate insights from platform activity, such as category match frequency, competitive win/loss trends, and promotional program effectiveness, to help suppliers and TSDs evaluate and improve their market positioning. These insights are presented only in aggregate and never identify individual advisors, clients, or specific deals.
Data isolation: what we do not share
Your data is yours. Channel Standard is built on a strict data-isolation architecture. The following commitments apply to all users:
- Advisor-to-Advisor Isolation: Your client accounts, contacts, opportunities, deals, pipeline data, and any CRM-imported records are private to your account. No other Trusted Advisor on the platform can view, access, or query your data.
- Advisor-to-Supplier Isolation: Suppliers listed in the Channel Standard directory do not have access to your account, your client information, your deal pipeline, or your contact records. Suppliers can only see their own profile information and aggregate, anonymized engagement metrics where applicable.
- Advisor-Controlled Sharing: When you initiate a quote request or supplier introduction, only the specific requirements you select are shared with that supplier. Suppliers never have access to your full account, pipeline, or client information beyond what you expressly choose to share.
- No Cross-User Data Sharing: Channel Standard does not aggregate or pool individual advisor data for sharing with other participants on the platform, including suppliers, TSDs, or other advisors, without your explicit, written consent.
CRM and third-party integrations
If you connect a third-party CRM (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or ConnectWise), data syncs between your CRM and Channel Standard only within your private account space and only with your explicit configuration. This integration data is subject to the same data-isolation protections described above.
Internal access
Channel Standard personnel may access account data solely for platform support, troubleshooting, and service delivery, subject to strict internal access controls.
Data security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and role-based permissions that ensure each user can only access their own data.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at info@thechannelstandard.com.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@thechannelstandard.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and notify active users via email or an in-platform notification.
